This show is based on themes from Dvorak’s “New World Symphony” blended with newer contemporary material. “The Journey Begins: is an up-tempo opener with original themes inspired by the 1st movement from the “New World Symphony” including a lush woodwind feature in the middle before returning to the original theme. “Far From Home” is a ballad inspired by the 2nd movement from Dvorak which itself was based on an old American folk melody titled “Goin’ Home”. “The Finale Journey” is inspired by the 4th movement from Dvorak and is driving with a big percussion interlude. It builds to a big finale that is designed to get your audience on their feet!
