Grade 2

Duration: 6:29

This is a show dedicated to the men and women that work in the oil fields.  The show opens with “Wildcatters” and is an up-tempo driving opener with rhythmic and metallic sounds to represent the drill rig.  Next is “Dry Hole Blues”, a slow and mournful blues/rock ballad that has the option of featuring soloists.  Next our oil field workers have to battle the elements with “Thunderstorm”—a fierce and rhythmic section featuring several percussion interludes.  This transitions into “Gusher” which starts softly and builds to an explosive climax as we strike “Black Gold”!  There is a “Reprise and Finale” where we hear earlier themes and build to a dramatic finale.
