Grade 1.5
Duration: 5:35
"The Four Freedoms" is based on rights outlined in a speech given by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. After an opening fanfare we hear "Freedom of Speech", an up-tempo opener with a western/American feel. Next is "Freedom of Worship" which is a hymn-like ballad. This is followed by "Freedom from Fear", a driving section with dissonant chords and dark melodies. Then we hear "Freedom from Want" which is dramatic and uplifting based on the opening fanfare. We hear a brief tribute to "America, the Beautiful" before closing with a reprise of our opening theme and an exciting finale!
