Open with “Lords of the Gobi” representing their beginnings in the Gobi desert.  This is a dark but exciting opener with some flowing woodwind interludes.  The opener is "Prayer”, a ballad based on beautiful eastern melodic lines.  This is abruptly followed by “Khan!”, a driving and dynamic tribute to the greatest of the Mongol leaders, Genghis Khan.  “Reprise and Victory” brings the show to an exciting conclusion with a reprise of earlier themes and a glorious victory celebration!
