Grade 2.5
Duration: 6:37
This show is inspired by the novel “Ben-Hur”, the story of a Jewish prince who is enslaved by the Romans and parallels the story of Jesus. “Judah Ben-Hur” is a dramatic fanfare that introduces the main character. This segues into “Romani Ingressum (Roman Entry)”, which is a powerful opener representing the Roman army marching into Jerusalem. This is followed by “Esther”, a beautiful ballad representing the wife and life-long love of Judah. We quickly move to “Chariot Race!”, a driving up-tempo segment with the excitement of the races featuring percussion interludes. We close with “Miracle and Finale” as Judah Ben-Hur encounters Jesus and find salvation in the words of Christ. This is a dramatic tale for the ages that your audience will love!
